| This movie is an allegory of the present day.Think of the political situation in Washington where moneyed interests are promoted over the wellbeing of the middle class and poor.
For example we have massive deficits and the solution is tax breaks for the wealthy. They're the ones who brought our economy to a standstill just so assets could be piled up while people lost their jobs and homes. Look at Bank of America who failed to transfer payments to Wells Fargo whom they sold the loan to. Now the couple who've made all the payments are getting their home foreclosed on and no one will act in a just manner. Even Wells Fargo thinks it's right--even raising the price of the home. |
