A pure villian horror film without heros or heriones. Seriously disturbing to view from beginning to end in one sitting because of the merciless blood violence and body mutilations. Dillon does not present the character as a misunderstood monster but rather a destructive sociopath who enjoys killing. The film is worth an Oscar nomination for directing, cinema design and best actor.

Most definitely a Von Trier picture; a deep, darkly disturbing psychological horror show from start to finish! Most definitely an "acquired taste" is necessary. Might want to keep out of the hands of children. Good night and good luck.
