I remember seeing this in 1956 at a Fox theater. I was 5, and now that I am 65, seeing this again was just as great. enjoy

Besides the spectacular costumes, the colors are a feast for your eyes. This is a saga of epic proportions that I have enjoyed on many occasions. My favorite part of the movie is the live introduction by Cecille B. DeMille. I don't do it justice but the gist that I gleen is how one man started a movement to defy slavery and be free under the universe, not the control of other men. NOW THAT makes it worth watching to me because it is a timeless theme that follows mankind forever.

@chdodd - Your comment HAS offended others, and they have sent me PMs in the forum, since they didn't feel this was the place for such a discussion. My comment was in no way inappropriate or over-reactive, as it's part of my job as a moderator to let members know when they cross a line. We all have personal experiences. There is a time and place for certain discussions, and this wasn't it, especially considering the insensitive way you phrased your comment. From the feedback I've received, others did not see your comment as an opinion, but rather felt like it was an attack on their beliefs, and that is just not acceptable.

I'm an atheist but this is a classic film. Cecil B. DeMille was a great director. I believe that the atheism/religion debate is crucial to the future of humanity. The tone of the two clowns below does nothing to help anyone.

Well I for one WaterLilyBarb have found you to be polite and reasonable and chdodd plus fun4watch are out of line in a coarse and disgusting manner. I am an atheist but 1) I LIKE this movie, the actors, etc.., whether real or fiction, it is a fantastic story of survival and challenge. 2)I don't believe it gives me the right to ridicule or call out others who do abide by religion in their lives. 3) I am outraged these two members behaved so badly to a friendly soul on this wonderful site. The shame whether they see it or not is on themselves for losing their sense of control of self.
