| I hardly liked this movie. I'm a huge fan of sci-fi/fantasy type things but this movie was bad. There were so many times I thought to my self "I could be watching something better than this right now" then I'd think it has to pick up.... it didn't. The "magic" was lame, the actors were boring, the story was mildly interesting and the only thing to somewhat keep my interest. I give this one 2/5 and I've never given a movie a score that low. |

| This is a very good movie. I was a little leery because I am not a big fan of the "new" wave of beautiful teenager movies... (IE Twilight), so I was a little skeptical going in. But by the middle of this movie I was convinced. This is a very good movie. It's serious with a few lighthearted moments and very suspenseful. Good plot... cool twists. |

| A bit different from the book is putting it mildly!! The writers and producers took so many liberties it is unbelieveable. I wonder if they actually took the time to read the series before making the film. As someone who has actually read the whole series, I found this movie to be CRAPPY, it * ed on so many levels. |

| What and unexpected and pleasant surprise.I enjoyed the movie from beginning to end and highly recommend it. As barrywood pointed out...it reminded me of The Craft. If you like that type of movie, you will enjoy this one. |
