| I have my reservations concerning Lincoln and his life, here's a man that while he was decrying his intentions to save the Union , the constitutional government.....so on and so forth, didn't hesitate to suspend free speech, the writ of Habeas corpus, putting in jail opposers without trial, and unleashing, against the Constitution, The US Army on the civilian population. |

| Never had there been a presidency that was so much defined by war until the Wilson and Rosevelt presidencies. We had no presidents during the revolutionary war.
Its sad to think that this man never had time to end his life being able to reconcile with all the death and destruction that had happened. The movie should of had done more about this and end the movie in a more positive note, pointing out all the liberties and freedomes that were brought because of his pursuit for justice and self evident truths at such cost. |

| Excellent! Not dark at all, this film shows how sophisticated, calm and yet witty this great man was, who had to endure so much and nevertheless told his wife that they had to try to be happier! |

| It was good, but I hated it because it made me feel like a failure. This guy changed the world. I spent 2 hours last night making an elastic band ball.

| I have to disagree with those that think this is a great movie. It's not a bad movie... there are scenes that are very emotional and very well done. But there are long stretches of cluttered story and slow moving plot line. It's interesting from a historical point of view, but I think this is a "mood" movie. If your looking to be wowed for two hours, look elsewhere. |
