| this one improves over time, as do the performances of Crowe, Harris, Reed, and of course, Nielsen. the film attempts to provide some historical backdrop (esp. as the borders start caving in), but the Emperor works diligently to cover that brutal reality up with his program of booze, babes, and gladiator GAMES. plenty of action there. enjoy. |
