True, this is not the Seaton version, however.....How can you possibly refer to a John Hughes remake of a 1947 classic "a piece of crap"? It's an adorable, family friendly remake and we loved it.

What a piece of crap!! This is advertised above as the original version with a young Natalie Wood, Edmund Gwenn as Kris Kringle, John Payne as the young lawyer, and Maureen O'Hara as the non-believing Mother. Start the film and THIS is a commercial re-do with NONE of the original elfs. THIS IS SACRILEGIOUS!! IS CHRISTMAS NO LONGER SACRED? Do the people who run this site have no shame?!!!!!

Good to know it is the modern version. I watched it and it's pretty adorable. I found another one in public domain from 1954 that was played on TV.

Contrary to the description, this film is the 1994 remake starring Richard Attenborough, Elizabeth Perkins, and Dylan McDermott.
