| Great movie, portraying the blurred sides of right and wrong. Portraying the Church in a positive way bothers me because it's the same revival oriented wing that makes homosexuality a crime for which the penalty is death.
Spending money on a limo is really a poor choice when compared with spending to feed the children. Unfortunately the problem with American Christianity is that such a choice would be seriously considered in the first place. From "ministries" to mainline churches, the witness of American Christianity is bogged down in silly stuff and is more concerned about not ruffling folks feathers than being faithful to Jesus Christ.
Do you remember the news report telling about the death of the peacemaker? It had the effrontery to report that the war had been over when it was far from over.
Blood Diamonds--the movie about diamonds used to prop up a rebel leader and keep a conflict continuing. In Sudan one might call the situation blood petroleum. On the borderline area between Northern and Southern Sudan lies a rich oil field. Control Of that asset is the real reason behind the insurgencies: both sides want to control that wealth. Probably the benefit will never reach the poor who suffer in the fighting, but will line the pockets of some warlord in addition to making rich oil companies even richer. Maybe there needs to be a blood oil movement like the one to ban blood diamonds. |

| Very moving and dramatic picture. Tough situation. Lines of right and wrong would certainly blur together and be real hard to distinguish. Wouldn't it be nice if the world was void of evil men and their carnage. If children could only laugh and play and enjoy their childhood in peace and safety. |

| This is what movies/films are supposed to be about, Real inspiration and based on a hero, that we can literally see and follow.
if only we could do just a little bit of what this man has done we could have a better world.
My hats off to this HERO and a to this great film..... |
