| I was bored too. I have to admit that I didn't watch very much. I was expecting more history. When Hoover was so passionate and afraid of Bolsheviks and Commies who did he mean, I was wondering. Does it get more into his motives later in the movie? |

| Dunno what leviathan is talking about; there is nothing dull here at all. All actors at their best ... DiCaprio brilliant ... Eastwood brilliant, mature, and not spicey, as some would have it. |

| Good performance from DiCaprio but the film itself is a bit dull. Eastwood concentrates so hard on being even handed that he takes any spice out of the plot, so instead we get a series of events, some unfortunate, some not, rather than any sort of gripping narrative. Scorsese would have owned this film. |
